The purpose of the mini-symposium:
* Provide people an opportunity to get to know the post-docs, especially new ones, and to get to hear about their research
* Provide post-docs an opportunity to develop skills in presenting the key elements of their research to colleagues outside their specialization, with an eye toward the future job application process
