      Today's focus:

      • No substantial progress has been achieved this week. I am still a little bit confused about the workflow and configuration for optical simulations of both projects. So I will ask zhiyu for help to solve this today.

      Plans:

      [STCF]:

      • Carry out a test on the scintillation decay time of a CsI crystal.

      [DarkSHINE]:

      • Once the issue is resolved, I will proceed with further simulation attempts.
    • 10:10 10:20

      Grade:

      Introduction to particle and nuclear experimental methods: A-

      General Relativity: A-

      Advanced Statistical Physics: C+ (do more exercises before PhD qualifying exam)

      Introduction to Dialectics of Nature: A+

      Marxism in China: B+

      1. Read some papers about ZZ production.
      2. Plan to seek guidance for tasks next week.

      ZZy

      Finished

      • Set up and validated the HGamGamStar framework with the Run2 ZZγ signal sample, both locally and on the Grid;
      • Successfully processed 10,000 events and produced the reduced MxAOD and cutflow. The cutflow shows the expected event reduction through those selections with 239 events remaining after the final selection.
      • Easyjet:Studied the Easyjet workflow and code structure using ssWW as a hands-on example, and successfully ran the general, baseline, and bypass workflows.
      • Prepared the workflow for the Run-3 MC requests

      Plans

      • Map the HGamGamStar framework onto the Easyjet structure.
      • Develop a clearer and more feasible plan for our own request.
    • 10:30 10:40
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Jun Wei Lok (TDLI, SJTU)
    • 10:40 10:50
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Zelin Yan (TDLI, SJTU)

      [Today's focus:]

      • Wlllv analysis:
        • Find mismatching issue in di-lepton kinematic/topology vars in non-prompt enriched regions.
        • Remove mismatching vars and add more vars as input features.
        • Retrain our xgboost model and get better data/mc comparison but still mismatching.
        • Get prelimanary SR+WZCR joint fit result.
      • HGTD FELIX Monitoring:
        • Ask Jonas and Lailin for new tasks about sensor test before going to CERN.

      [Next Plans:]

      • Wlllv analysis:
        • Check mismatching issue from e/mu ID and ISO.
        • Fill xgboost part in INT note.
      • H2a4b analysis:
        • Prepare status report next Thursday:
          • Focus on data/mc comprison in Z+jets CR with 2022~2024 dataset.
          • Have a look on LLP kinematics distribution.
          • Also get preliminary stats-only fit result and expected upper limit.
    • 10:50 11:00
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Bai-Hong Zhou (TDLI, SJTU)

      [Hyy*]:

      • Checked the breakdown table in our paper draft;
        • The issuse is caused by the non-minimized state
        • The minTolarance should be changed from 1e-5 to 5e-6 to get the mininized state;
        • The signal strgenth has changed from 0.64_{0.40}^{+0.44} to 0.64_{0.39}^{+0.44};
        • The breakdown table has also updated in the following:
      • The combined results have no impact to the minTolarance (previous settting has reached the minimized);

      [ssWW]:

      • Checked the systematics impact for ParT output:
        • The systematics impact looks small currently;

      Plans:

      [ssWW]:

      • Combine the Run 2 and Run 3 workspace to see the expected significance;
      • Check the systematics impact for ParT;
      • Prepare the next week's presentation;

      [Hyy*]:

      • Prepare a short slide to answer the comment and explain our changes;

      [DarkSHINE FastSimu]:

      • Produce more samples for FastSimulation (before Digitization);
    • 11:00 11:10
      Status 10m

    • 11:20 11:30
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Haidar Mas'ud Alfanda (TDLI, SJTU)

      Exotic Higgs decay analysis

      • I continued to produce NTuples for the ParT, a large sample is required for better performance
      • On the other side, preparing the workflow for EveNet model

      HGTD

      • Took two shifts for the wafer test
    • 11:30 11:40
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Matthias Tartarin (TDLI, SJTU)

      Today's focus:

      [ssWW]:

      • Unfolding: Config shared in the workspace by Yi to Baihong and I after Monday's internal GM. Only had yesterday to look at it for now, no progress to report yet.

      [VBS_Kappa ]:

      • Framework on bl-0 fully functional to reproduce SM implementation with modified Higgs mass. Values obtained until now coherent with what QiBing reported. Exploring new directions (cf. section about plans).
      • Thinking about ways to include Ardijan to the project (since Monday).

      [ATLAS Talks]:

      • Followed the (early part of) AC Training organised yesterday, it might come helpful one day.

      Plans:

      • [ssWW] Follow with the unfolding. As well as Dim-8 AND Dim-6 EFT (<- was said to be with no current contributors during last meeting on Thursday) which are also both directions we can follow once MC production is done.
      • [VBS_Kappa] Could be worth exploring new directions. Either change the way the mass of the higgs is modified, or change what needs to be modified.
        Could require to work at the level of UFO production directly, to produce flexible BSM one. Since we could modify the UFO, we could also consider having the actual kappa_lambda dependence in the feynman diagrams if we decide to include Higgs loop corrections (will need BSM UFO, but I got some triple higgs configs already from PhD work). I expect them to have minimal impact on measured quantities, but could allow a coherent set of parameters to tune.
