2026年珠海粒子与宇宙学:早期宇宙、相变与基本对称性研讨会
早期宇宙为研究基本对称性提供了独特的物理环境。在早期宇宙的演化过程中,电荷共轭-宇称对称性、轻子数/重子数、电弱对称性、手征对称性以及标准模型扩展中的各种新对称性,都可能经历非平庸的破缺过程,从而深刻影响物质-反物质不对称、暗物质生成、基本相互作用的低能形态以及宇宙大尺度结构的演化。特别地,由对称性破缺导致的宇宙相变可能在LISA、太极和天琴等下一代引力波实验中产生可观测的引力波信号。这为理解电弱对称性破缺、强相互作用动力学以及检验超出标准模型的新物理提供了重要窗口。因此,围绕早期宇宙、相变和基本对称性开展研究,已成为连接粒子物理、宇宙学和引力波天文学的重要前沿方向。
本届会议将关注早期宇宙、相变和基本对称性,从理论、唯象和实验方面深度讨论相关研究主题,包括但不限于暴涨、宇宙学对撞机、原初黑洞、电弱/QCD/大统一相变、重子产生、中微子宇宙学、暗物质产生与探测、标准模型精确测量、有效场论等,以期促进新的想法和合作。我们诚挚邀请相关领域的专家学者以及青年研究人员莅临指导和交流!
会议将于2025年10月15日-19日在中山大学珠海校区举行。本届会议由中山大学物理与天文学院承办,上海交通大学李政道研究所、中国科学院大学国际理论物理中心(亚太地区)、电子科技大学、中国科学院理论物理研究所协办。本会议为系列会议,主要聚焦于粒子物理和宇宙学的交叉融合方向,每年将会轮换不同的主题集中研讨。往届会议包括:

The 2026 Zhuhai Particle Physics and Cosmology Symposium (ZPCS 2026): Early Universe, Phase Transitions and Fundamental Symmetries
The early universe provides a unique environment for studying fundamental symmetries. During the cosmic evolution, charge conjugation and parity symmetry, lepton and baryon numbers, electroweak symmetry, chiral symmetry, and various new symmetries arising in the Standard Model’s extensions may all undergo nontrivial symmetry-breaking processes. These processes can profoundly affect the matter–antimatter asymmetry, the production of dark matter, the low-energy structure of fundamental interactions, and the large-scale structure in the universe. In particular, cosmological phase transitions induced by symmetry breaking may generate observable gravitational-wave signals in next-generation experiments such as LISA, Taiji, and TianQin. This provides an important window into the electroweak symmetry breaking, the dynamics of strong interactions, and possible new physics beyond the Standard Model. Therefore, research centered on the early universe, phase transitions, and fundamental symmetries has become an important frontier connecting particle physics, cosmology, and gravitational-wave astronomy.
This year, the conference will focus on the early universe, phase transitions, and fundamental symmetries as its central themes. We will discuss related topics in depth from theoretical, phenomenological, and experimental perspectives, including but not limited to inflation, cosmological collider physics, primordial black holes, electroweak/QCD/GUT phase transitions, baryogenesis, neutrino cosmology, dark matter production and detection, precision tests of the Standard Model, and effective field theories. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, and early-career researchers in related fields to participate, share their insights, and exchange ideas, with the aim of fostering new ideas and collaborations.
The conference will be held from October 15 to 19, at the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. The conference is organized by the School of Physics and Astronomy of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), in collaboration with Tsung-Dao Lee Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (TDLI), the International Center for Theoretical Physics (Asia-Pacific region) of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICTP-AP), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS). This event is one among the conference series focusing jointly on particle physics and cosmology. The theme of the conference series rotates on a yearly basis.
