First Bulletin: 1st Europe-China-Japan Workshop on Muon Physics: Synergies in g-2, MUonE and Beyond
Workshop Overview
We are pleased to announce the 1st Europe-China-Japan Workshop on Muon Physics, scheduled for March 23–25, 2025. This workshop aims to bring together experts from Europe, China, and Japan to discuss ongoing and future muon-related experiments, including Muon g-2/EDM at J-PARC, the MUonE experiment at CERN and Muon physics programs in China. The event will foster collaboration and explore synergies in muon physics research.

Visit to SHINE
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Shanghai High repetition rate XFEL and Extreme light facility (SHINE), a state-of-the-art research facility that plays a crucial role in advancing accelerator science and applications.

Travel Information: Shanghai is accessible via two international airports: Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). The city offers an extensive public transportation system, including metro lines and buses, facilitating convenient travel to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Detailed instructions here.
Wi-Fi Access: Complimentary Wi-Fi (EduRoam and Campus Wi-Fi) will be available throughout the workshop venue.
Registration and Payment: Participants are requested to register through the workshop website and check in at the registration desk on site. The registration desk is located at the lobby of Platinum Hanjue Hotel on 23rd afternoon and then at workshop venue on 24th morning.
Registration fee of 500 CNY can be paid on site via Alipay/Wechat Pay (which can be linked to any Visa/Master credit or debit card, see instructions here). Payment by cash in CNY is also accepted.
Accommodation: Platinum Hanjue Hotel, 10 minutes walking distance to workshop venue via the north gate of Minhang campus.
