In this talk, I will introduce recent progresses on the radiative and semileptonic decays of charmed mesons using the lattice QCD method.
Semi-leptonic decays offer an ideal place to deeply understand hadronic transitions in the nonperturbative region of QCD and explore the weak and strong interactions in the charm sector. Combining with experimental data, the CKM matrix element can be extracted, and it helps to test unitarity of CKM matrix and searching for new physics beyond SM. Our study focuses on the weak decay of ( D_s^+ \to p \overline{n} ), which is the only possible two-body baryonic decay in the ( D ) meson system. An analysis using perturbative quantum chromodynamics (pQCD) is challenging in this decay due to the small amount of energy released.
